Afro-Asia tourney deferred
The second edition of the Afro-Asia Cup cricket tournament scheduled for September in India has been postponed again.
The event will now take place in June 2007 and Africa, once again, are the hosts. The inaugural competition in 2005 was held in South Africa.
Asia is expected to host the next competition in June 2008 in Malaysia, according to Niranjan Shah, secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
The event has in the past been dogged with uncertainty. The tournament involves sides from the two continents and was accorded full one-day status by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
