PanAmSat Named Best Satellite Carrier at 2006 Telecom Asia Awards

PanAmSat has received a top honor from Telecom Asia magazine. The publication awarded PanAmSat with the Best Satellite Carrier award at the 2006 Telecom Asia Awards, held in Phuket, Thailand, on April 24. PanAmSat was selected for the award due to its market leadership, innovations in technology and services as well as its strong financial performance in one of the worlds most challenging telecommunications markets.

Asia's largest Trade Fair concludes, Gujarat, Russia win 'Best Pavilion' awards The fortnight-long 25th India Fair (IITF), the largest trade fair in Asia, came to an end with a colourful ceremony here on Sunday. Hundreds and thousands of people thronged on the closing day which witnessed participants from across thend states within the country, concluded with awards being given away to the pavilions in different categories. Bhutia named captain for Asia Cup

Bhutia named captain for Asia Cup Mercurial striker Baichung Bhutia, though struggling with injury, was on Monday named captain of the 24-member Indian team for the AFC Asia Cup qualifying round match against Japan to be played at Yokohama on February 22.
