HTC Star Trek Asia Availability: Dopod S300

It seems like all the cool phones are released in Asia and Europe, and some (eventually) make their way to the USA. But the good news is that HTCs Star Trek is for sale - at least in Asia. The Star Trek phone design could be the one that launches Windows Mobile devices into the mainstream. Its smaller than a RAZR, stores and plays music with dedicated music buttons on the outside case, and it will sync. your outlook contacts and e-mail. Whats not to like?

And from a recent Business Week Online article, weve also learned that the released version of the awesome Star Trek phone is a 4th Generation of the design, as HTC CEO Peter Chou killed the first three saying they didnt perform to the highest standards he is setting for impecible quality. Its nice to have a CEO makeing choices based on quality and not cost-cutting.

And lucky European readers should be happy to know that i-mate are due to release their version of the Star Trek very soon now too.

FUND VIEW-China and Hong Kong best Asia bets

FUND VIEW-China and Hong Kong best Asia bets Global stock investors should be overweight China and Hong Kong in their portfolios, because the Chinese economy is likely to keep growing at or near double-digit rates, a fund manager at New Star Asset Management said on Monday. But investors should be underweight the technology-heavy markets of Taiwan and South Korea, because of the risk a slowing U.S. economy will slash the profits of low margin exporters, added Jorry Noeddekaer. Our biggest overweight right now is definitely Hong Kong and China. We more or less add these two names together, he told Reuters in an
