Instant money order service launched in Jaipur

India Post on Saturday launched an instant money order (IMO) service to enable easy and immediate transfer of funds between two individuals in select cities, including Jaipur.

“The IMO can be sent in the range of Rs 1,000 -50,000, with a tariff ranging between Rs 150-Rs 330,” Chief Post Master General of Indian Post (Rajasthan circle) Neelam Srivastava, told reporters here.

The department would receive payment by cheque of Rs 20,000 Or more, she said.

The department also launched accidental death insurance coverage on postal savings accounts holders at a concessional rate of premium Rs 15 annually, she added.

China Netcom completes 402 mln usd sale of Asia Netcom China Netcom Group (CNCG) and its Hong Kong-listed unit said they have completed the sale of 100 pct of Asia Netcom to an investor group for 402 mln usd. The investor group - led by Ashmore Investment Management Ltd, Spinnaker Capital Ltd and Clearwater Capital Partners - will pay 169 mln usd for the international service unit of Asia Netcom and 233 mln usd for the companys pan-Asian submarine cable network, China Netcom said in a statement.
