Skipper Mithali Raj slammed her second century of the tournament to bat India to a 97-run victory over Sri Lanka in the second women’s cricket Asia Cup final at the National Stadium here today.

Mithali, who also scored a century against Pakistan in the league match, remained unconquered on 108 as India, batting first after winning the toss, collected 269 for four from the allotted 50 overs.

Right-arm spinner Devika Palshikar then bagged three wickets while pacewoman Amita Sharma and left-armer Neetu David claimed two wickets each to restrict Sri Lanka to 172 for nine.
